NZ LIVE & COOKED CRAYFISH

The species is abundant in New Zealand and is also found across the southern coastline of Australia from Tasmania west to Albany in Western Australia. Rock lobsters are found along most rocky coastlines around New Zealand, with the main concentrations occurring along the east coasts of the North and South Islands, the south and south-west coast of the South Island, including Stewart Island & the Chatham Islands.

FRESH SKINNED & BONED FILLETS

All fresh fish fillets are sold skinned & boned unless stated otherwise such as skin/on John Dory fillets etc. All of the fresh fillets are caught by our Hawkes Bay Seafoods Fishing Fleet, that work from the Chatham Islands to East Cape down to the Cook Strait. If you would like the fish delivered to you in any other state other than skinned & boned, please type in your instructions in the additional comments box at the bottom of the checkout page (right above the payment options) eg: Can I please have my Tarakihi fillets scaled skin-on.

FRESH WHOLE FISH
All whole fish (apart from flatfish, Sole's & Turbot) are sold and weighed out whole, (scales on, guts and gills in), but scaled gilled & gutted prior to packing. This means the product is ready to comsume and willl not require cleaning when you recieve your order. If you wish for the product to not be scaled gilled & gutted please type comments to that effect in the additional comments box at the bottom of the checkout page.

ALL HAWKES BAY SEAFOODS FROZEN PRODUCT IS PROCESSED IN A EXPORT LICENSED FACTORY AUDITED BY THE NEW ZEALAND FOOD SAFETY AUTHOURITY. the product is processed and than blast frozen to minus 30oc and than transported to a export coldstorage facility on site where it is stored at minus 18oc waiting for sale. Fillets are generally shatter packed, (packed on interleaved layers without touching) or individually bagged for easy access to individual fillets and portions.
